Use triple wall pipe which can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's for low cost. Put in trench to a depth of the bottom of your concrete footer with slight slope towards the sump well. Do not ever use the gutter system. It is junk that saves the installer a lot of labor. Think about it!! Do you want the water table to rise to the bottom of your concrete slab??? Of course not. You want to keep the water table lower. Do some homework on line. There are still some honest contractors out there. Best sump pump I've found so far is zoeller. Materials to do an average size basement run around 1500-2000 dollars. That includes all rentals of tools . Hope this helps you

This is the same bs system I was recently watching that is basically set 2" from the surface of the concrete floor, has no pitch, and the only way that it actually drains the water is if it feels completely up. Don't do this. It's not going to be effective. You'll need deeper channels, pipe that is pitched correctly and sometimes two sump pumps.

Solved the problem myself just by putting dirt around my house and fixing the gutters.

I called the number listed in a reply below and was told they ONLY sell to Authorized Dealers, not the general public. Dont waste your time tracking this product unless you want to hire a company to do the work.

Search youtube & google, these things leak refrigerant within just a few years & no one answers warranty calls. On top of that the filters are custom & they want $80 for each on that you're supposed to replace every 6 months, you can buy 3 well reviewed dehumidifiers from amazon for the price of one of these PoS.

Larry, congrats on your BAJA endeavors. I wish there was someone who offered such crawl space services in the coastal pac NW. There are contractors out in the I-5 corridor, but they all seem to avoid the coastal counties where we get 60-120 inches of rain per year. Must see the work as too over whelming where we get so much rain. Out here the crawls are horrible.

When I first moved into my house 6 years ago, my new neighbors said, "Oh, you're the person who bought the house where the basement always floods." I was so afraid. Thank goodness that the sellers installed a basement anti-flooding system. I've never had a problem with flooding in my basement since I've been in my house!!!!

The gutter system is the worst system you can install. It sits on top of the footer instead of next to it and on the bottom. Before you decide to install one get other estimates and do you homework.

I had them install my sump pump, drain pipes, triple backup system and inner perimeter drains on 2 of 4 walls. But they didn't wrap the bucket with a filter to keep the sand out. And 6 years later it all filled with sand - pit, pumps, and pipes. Basement flooded. Alarm system failed too, and I learned later it was because they plugged all 3 pumps onto each other, piggy back into one outlet. And I, a single parent, female, was never told, and I never noticed. So when it failed, they all blew. Fuse blew too, while I'm standing in the water. I was still terrified, with 3 pumps still plugged into the outlet, in the pit. I had a wall that was slightly bowed and it became a serious one with a bigger crack. And I called and called. Eventually another company came in and tore out their pit work and we stared at their bucket without the wrap. New pit, new single pump, 14 wall anchors and $25,000 bill..I'll never recommend these guys.

This is a huge CON . Never want water on ur foundation walls let alone throw them in first place. Put tht system where sun doesn’t shine but on the other side of tht wall outside the house. With non woven geotextile fabric wrapped around French drain tile and 3/4 to 2 inch clean rock with zero fines in it ontop and around the pipe all way up the wall good solid 6 to 10 inches wide of it. U won’t never have water on the outside of foundation walls and there for u won’t have inside of the foundation walls. And before anyone says anything about well it can just come from underneath floor. I can’t type all damn day to explain the steps on the outside the foundation system to prevent that scenario to. Cause I for sure 100% know how to prevent all tht as well. I have a master’s degree in keep Mother Nature on the outside of the house.

So how much does this cost?

I don't like the idea to manage the water inside the basement. It should be done on the outside wall with a french drain and a real waterproof wall. Otherwise you will be stuck with moisture behinde the plastic sheets.

Absolute worst investment that I made. Purchased in February of 2018 and installed in my basement by a professional authorized dealer. Failed in September of the same year and was replaced with another unit. August the following year of 2019 it failed again and was swapped out with yet another unit. Every year thereafter they have had to send it out for repair. The error that comes on every time is "fan error or low refrigerant." Just failed again a couple of days ago. The dealer I bought it from is very friendly and quick to respond, however, this is a great inconvenience to only have these last for a year before needing repair. I've read up about this error on several forums and it seems like a lot of people have had problems with this same unit. This is inexcusable. Don't purchase this dehumidifier.

This is all done incorrectly. All of it. For anyone out their looking at doing a basement, do more research.

I heard these systems are crap . That don’t work as advertised . A gimmick . I seen numerous videos on how they dug this system up and did it differently . This video was nothing more than. Advertisement for this system .
